Trustpilot Review Management

Invite every customer the way Trustpilot allows, reply to reviews professionally, and flag only the ones that genuinely break its guidelines, so your page reflects your real customers.

Search your brand name plus “reviews” and there’s a good chance your Trustpilot page is one of the first results. For online stores and service companies, that page often decides whether a new customer buys or keeps looking.

Trustpilot review management keeps that page an accurate picture of your customers. We set up invitations that go to everyone, reply to reviews, and flag the ones that genuinely break Trustpilot’s guidelines, without the shortcuts that can get a warning placed on your profile.

What’s included

  • Trustpilot profile audit. Claimed status, rating, volume, recency, reply rate, and how reviews are currently being collected.
  • A compliant invitation process. Invitations sent automatically after every completed order or service, to every customer, with no incentives.
  • Reply management. Polite, specific replies to reviews, written in your voice and approved by you if you prefer.
  • Careful flagging. We check reviews against your records and flag only those that fit one of Trustpilot’s reasons, with a short, factual explanation.
  • Monthly reporting. Rating trend, invitation volume, reply times and flag outcomes.

How it works

1. Audit

We review your profile, recent reviews and current invitation setup. That shows whether the problem is low volume, unanswered complaints, or an operational issue such as slow delivery that keeps coming up.

2. Repair

We claim or tidy the profile, reply to the backlog, and flag the reviews that clearly break the guidelines. At the same time we switch on invitations, because a steady flow of genuine reviews does the most to change how your page reads.

3. Protect

Invitations keep volume and recency up. Alerts flag each new negative review so it gets a considered reply quickly.

How Trustpilot’s rules shape the work

  • Invitations are allowed, cherry-picking isn’t. Trustpilot lets businesses invite customers, but its guidelines require inviting consistently and fairly. Choosing only customers you expect to be happy is not allowed.
  • No incentives. Trustpilot rules out discounts, freebies, prize draws or any other benefit connected with writing or editing a review. In the US, the FTC’s 2024 rule also bans incentives conditioned on a review’s sentiment.
  • Replies are public. Shoppers read them before buying. Trustpilot asks businesses to keep replies polite and free of personal information.
  • Paying changes nothing. Trustpilot says the same fair treatment applies whether or not a business uses its paid services.

What we can and can’t do

We can flag reviews that are harmful or illegal, contain personal information, are promotional, or aren’t based on a genuine experience. Trustpilot’s team decides. We can’t remove a genuine negative review. If you want to handle a few reviews yourself, our guide on removing Trustpilot reviews explains each flagging reason.

That’s why we check every review against your records first, and only flag the ones with a clear reason.

How long it takes

Profile clean-up and backlog replies usually happen in the first few weeks. Flag outcomes depend on Trustpilot’s assessment and how clear the breach is.

Rating change depends mainly on order volume. A store shipping a high volume of orders can see its page shift within one to three months of invitations going live. Lower-volume businesses will see slower, steadier progress.

Who it’s for

Online stores, subscription brands, and service companies such as movers, insurers and software providers whose Trustpilot page ranks for their name. If you also need Google, Yelp or marketplace reviews handled, our review management service covers them together.

Frequently asked questions

Can you remove negative Trustpilot reviews?

Only reviews that break Trustpilot’s guidelines, and Trustpilot makes that decision after a flag. Genuine negative reviews stay up. For those, a helpful public reply and more reviews from other customers change how the page reads.

Is it allowed to ask customers for Trustpilot reviews?

Yes. Trustpilot allows businesses to invite customers, as long as you invite everyone consistently, don’t select only likely positive customers, and don’t offer any incentive.

What is a Trustpilot Consumer Warning?

It’s a notice Trustpilot can place on a business’s profile when it finds the business has misused the platform, for example by misusing the flag tool. It’s visible to every visitor, which is why we flag carefully.

Why does our Trustpilot page rank above our own website for reviews?

Trustpilot is a large, well-established site, so its pages often rank for searches like “brand name reviews”. That makes a well-managed Trustpilot page one of the most visible parts of your reputation.
