Badoo Delete Account: How to Remove Your Profile for Good

To delete your Badoo account, cancel any paid subscription first (through the App Store or Google Play if you bought it there), remove your photos and bio, then open your profile settings in the app or on the website and choose the option to delete your account. Uninstalling the app does not delete your profile. Until you complete the deletion, other users may still be able to see it.

Hide your profile, delete it or uninstall?

These three things are often confused, and they have very different effects.

If you’ve met someone and just want to stop appearing in searches, hiding may be enough for now. If you’re leaving for privacy reasons, delete.

Before you delete your Badoo account

1. Cancel paid features. If you pay for Badoo Premium or another recurring feature, cancel it where you bought it. For iPhone purchases, that’s your Apple subscriptions settings. For Android, it’s the Google Play subscriptions page. Deleting your Badoo account alone may not stop the app store billing you. If you paid Badoo directly by card, look for the payment settings in your account and cancel there.
2. Download your data if you want it. Badoo’s help pages and privacy policy describe how to request a copy of your information. If there are messages or photos you’d like to keep, ask before you delete.
3. Save evidence if you’re leaving because of someone. If a match threatened, harassed or tried to blackmail you, screenshot the profile and messages first. Deleting can remove the conversation from your side, which makes reporting harder later.
4. Remove your photos and bio. Delete each photo, clear your “about me” text and remove any linked social accounts. If deletion takes effect gradually, or something goes wrong, there’s less left to see.
5. Disconnect sign-in links. If you signed up with a social login, you can also remove Badoo’s access from that account’s connected apps settings after you delete.

How to delete your Badoo account

Badoo updates its menus regularly, so these steps are general. Its help center has the current wording.

1. Open Badoo in the app or at its website and sign in.
2. Go to your profile and open settings.
3. Look for the account section and the option to delete your account.
4. Badoo may suggest hiding your profile instead. If you want to leave, continue with deletion.
5. Give a reason if asked, confirm with your password or a code, and finish the process.

After you delete, avoid signing back in “just to check”. With some dating apps, logging in again with the same details can restore or recreate an account. Check Badoo’s help center for its current rules on how long you have to change your mind.

If you can’t sign in to Badoo

Badoo accounts can be tied to an email address, a phone number or a social login, and people often forget which one they used years ago.

• Try each sign-in method you might have used. Starting fresh with a different method can create a new, empty account and leave the old profile live.
• Use the official password reset. If the email or phone is still yours, the reset link or code is the quickest way back in.
• Contact support if you’ve lost access entirely. Badoo’s help center has a contact route. Explain that you want the account deleted, and be ready to show it’s yours, for example with a photo that matches the profile.
• Report fakes separately. If the profile you want gone was made by someone else using your photos, report it as impersonation rather than trying to delete it.

What Badoo may keep

Deleting your account removes your public profile, but dating companies typically keep some records for a period afterward, for purposes such as safety investigations, fraud prevention, legal requirements and billing. Badoo’s privacy policy sets out what it retains and why. Messages you sent may also remain visible to the people you sent them to, depending on how the app handles deleted accounts.

Check whether your profile was copied

Badoo has been around a long time and has a very large user base, so older profiles are more likely to have been screenshotted or scraped by third-party sites that republish dating profile photos. Deleting your account doesn’t touch those copies.

2. Search your name and username. Try your first name with your city and “Badoo”, and your username in quotation marks.
3. Ask the site to remove it. Many scraper sites have a removal or contact form. If you took the photos yourself, a copyright takedown may help.
4. Ask the search engine. If the copy is gone but still shows in results, request a refresh. Google also has removal routes for certain personal information.

A worked example

This scenario is illustrative, not a real client. Tomas used Badoo on and off for several years and is now in a relationship. He’s also applying for a teaching job and wants his old dating presence gone.

1. He checks his Apple subscriptions and finds a Badoo renewal still active. He cancels it.
2. He deletes his photos one by one and clears his bio.
3. He deletes the account from settings and doesn’t log back in.
4. He runs his old profile photo through two reverse image tools. One photo appears on a profile-aggregator site. He uses the site’s removal form, and it comes down after a few weeks.
5. He changes the profile photo he uses on other sites, so the old image no longer links his accounts together.

Common mistakes

• Uninstalling and assuming it’s done. Your profile stays up until you delete the account.
• Deleting before canceling billing. App store subscriptions carry on separately.
• Reusing the same photos everywhere. A photo used on dating apps and LinkedIn lets anyone connect them.
