What Privacy Bee is
Privacy Bee is a US company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, according to its site. It contacts data brokers and websites holding your information to get it removed, and it lists SOC 2 Type II on its site.
Its FAQ is plain about the limits: it doesn’t remove reviews or press, and it says public records can be hard or impossible to remove. That honesty is useful, because it tells you exactly where the service ends.
How Privacy Bee works
Based on Privacy Bee’s how-it-works page and FAQ, the process runs like this:
- You start with a free scan. Privacy Bee offers a free scan with no credit card.
- You subscribe and add your details. You can optionally sign a limited power of attorney so it can act for you with brokers.
- Removals begin. Privacy Bee contacts the brokers and sites your plan covers.
- You get updates. It sends monthly report emails on progress.

Any removal service needs a detailed profile of you to work: names, addresses, phone numbers, emails and often your date of birth. That’s the trade you make. Before signing up with Privacy Bee or anyone else, weigh these points:
- Who handles your data. Privacy Bee is Atlanta-based and lists SOC 2 Type II. Ask its support team who handles your details on your plan if that matters to you.
- The power of attorney. Signing Privacy Bee’s optional limited power of attorney lets the service act for you with brokers. Read it before you sign, and understand what it covers and how to revoke it.
- What happens when you cancel. Read the privacy policy for how long your details are kept after you leave.
- Use a separate email. A dedicated address for privacy services keeps your main inbox out of broker databases.
