How to Delete Your Poshmark Account (and Clean Up Your Closet First)

Before you close your Poshmark account

1. Finish every open order. Ship pending sales, wait for buyers to accept, and resolve any open cases. An account with orders in progress may not be closable until they’re done, and walking away from a sale can hurt the buyer.
2. Withdraw your balance. Any earnings or credits sitting in your account should be redeemed or spent first. Check the balance or earnings screen, request your payout and wait for it to arrive before you close. Money left behind may be hard or impossible to recover later.

6. Unlink other accounts and payment methods. If you connected social accounts or saved cards, disconnect or remove them in settings.
7. Use a strong password. If you ever reused this password elsewhere, change it on those sites too.

How to delete your Poshmark account

Poshmark changes its menus from time to time, so these steps are deliberately general. The help center shows the current wording.

1. Sign in on the app or website and open your account tab.
2. Go to account settings and look for an option to close or delete your account.

What can stay visible elsewhere

• Search results. Search engines may show your old closet or listings for a while after closure. Once the page is gone, you can ask Google to update it with its tool for removing outdated content.
• Buyers’ copies. Buyers and other users may have screenshotted listings or saved photos. You can’t reach into their devices, but you can ask politely if a photo shows up somewhere public.
• Reposted photos. Resale photos sometimes get copied by other sellers or aggregator sites. A reverse image search will turn up copies, and a copyright takedown may be an option for photos you took yourself.

If you can’t sign in or close the account

Sellers sometimes find they can’t close an account, or can’t get into it at all. The usual causes are straightforward.

• Something is still pending. An order awaiting shipment, a buyer’s open case or a payout in progress can block closure. Wait until everything settles, then try again.
