Cision Pricing: CisionOne Packages, Contract Terms and What to Ask
Cision doesn't publish prices. Here's what its site and subscription agreement show as of September 2026: four CisionOne packages, how billing works, what to ask sales and cheaper options.

Cision doesn’t publish prices. As of September 2026, its pricing page is a request form: Cision says it will help you “find the right solution, tailored to your team’s needs and budget,” and an expert contacts you with a quote. Its Master Subscription Agreement says fees are invoiced annually in advance and are non-cancellable and non-refundable unless your order says otherwise.
This guide covers the CisionOne packages Cision lists, what shapes a quote, the contract terms it publishes, what to ask sales, and the cheaper or free options. Everything about Cision here comes from its own website and legal pages, checked in September 2026. We don’t repeat third-party price estimates, because they can’t be checked against Cision’s own pages. Pricing changes, so check Cision’s site and your order form before you sign.
Cision’s packages (as of September 2026)
Cision’s main PR product is CisionOne, which it describes as a platform for “media monitoring, analytics, and influencer engagement, all in one place.” Its CisionOne pricing page is headed “Compare solutions and request pricing” and says: “We’ll recommend the best package and provide pricing during a short consultation.” It lists four packages, each with a “Talk to an expert” button and no price:

Cision also sells other products under its name or as affiliated brands, including PR Newswire (press release distribution and investor relations), Brandwatch (consumer intelligence and social media management) and Trajaan (search intelligence and GenAI monitoring). Each is priced separately, so say exactly which products you want quoted.
Cision’s site doesn’t mention a free trial or a free plan. The route to a price is the request form and a consultation.
What drives the cost of a Cision quote
Cision doesn’t publish a list of pricing factors. What it does say is that pricing is “tailored to your team’s needs and budget” and that it will “recommend the best package.” From its own pages, the choices that shape your quote are:
- Which package. Outreach only, monitoring only, monitoring plus social, or the full suite.
- Which other Cision products. PR Newswire distribution, Brandwatch and Trajaan are separate products.
- Services on top. Cision lists Professional Services alongside the platform in its menu. Ask what’s included in your package and what’s billed on top.
- Your team and budget. Cision’s form asks for your company, job role and the solution you’re interested in before an expert calls.
Cision doesn’t say on its site whether price depends on users, countries or mention volume, so ask. Meltwater and Muck Rack both name the number of users among their pricing factors, and you’ll only know how Cision handles it once it’s written into your proposal.
Contract, billing and cancellation terms
Cision’s pricing pages don’t state a contract length. Its Master Subscription Agreement (last updated 25 September 2025) sets the general rules, and your Order sets the specifics. Where they differ, read the Order carefully.

How to get a Cision quote, and what to ask
- Decide which package you need. If you mainly pitch journalists, Journalist Outreach may be enough. If you mainly track coverage, start with Media Monitoring. Only compare the full suite if you’ll use every part.
- List your coverage needs. Countries, languages and media types (online, print, TV, radio, podcasts, social). Broadcast and multi-country coverage are worth asking about specifically.
- Fill in the request pricing form. Cision’s form asks for your company, role, the solution you’re interested in and your phone number, then an expert contacts you.
- Ask for these in writing:
- Which package is this, and what exactly is included?
- How many users are included, and what does another user cost?
- Which countries and media types are covered, and which cost extra?
- Is press release distribution through PR Newswire included, or priced separately?
- What’s the initial term, does the Order auto-renew, and what notice do I need to give?
- What will the renewal price be, and can it be capped?
- Are there onboarding, training or professional services fees?

A worked example: comparing two package options
This is an illustrative scenario, not a real client.
A regional hospital’s communications lead needs to track local TV and newspaper coverage and send a handful of press releases a year. The sales call suggests the CisionOne Suite. Before agreeing, she:
- Asks for a second quote for Media Monitoring alone, since she rarely pitches journalists directly.
- Asks whether local TV and radio in her market are covered in that package.
- Asks for press release distribution to be priced per release rather than bundled, to compare it with her current approach.
- Asks for the renewal date, notice period and year-two price to be written into the Order, since fees are paid annually in advance and aren’t refundable.
With two package quotes side by side, she can see what the extra outreach tools cost and whether her team would use them.

Common mistakes when buying Cision
- Buying the suite by default. Cision sells outreach, monitoring and social as separate packages. Price the smallest one that does the job first.
- Not asking about broadcast. If local TV or radio matters to you, ask directly whether your market is covered in your package.
- Missing the renewal terms. They sit in your Order, not the general agreement. Get them in writing.
- Assuming you can cancel mid-year. The agreement says fees are non-cancellable and non-refundable unless your Order says otherwise.
