Moz Local Pricing: Plans, Add-Ons and Renewal Terms
Moz Local pricing as of September 2026: what Lite, Preferred and Elite cost per location, the two AI add-ons, how renewal and cancellation work, and cheaper or free options.
As of September 2026, Moz Local pricing starts at $20 a month per location for the Lite plan, $30 for Preferred and $40 for Elite on monthly billing. Paid yearly, the same plans cost $199, $299 and $399 per location. Every physical location needs its own subscription, and for 50 or more locations Moz quotes a custom Enterprise price. Moz’s pricing page shows no free trial for Moz Local; the trial button on that page is for Moz Pro.
This guide sets out the plans as Moz publishes them, the two paid add-ons, what the total cost depends on, the renewal and cancellation terms in Moz Local’s own general conditions, and the cheaper or free routes. Every figure comes from Moz’s pricing page and conditions, checked in September 2026. Pricing changes, so check Moz’s site before you buy.
Moz Local plans and prices (as of September 2026)
Moz Local sells three self-serve plans plus Enterprise. Each plan includes everything in the one before it. Prices are in US dollars and are per location.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly | Yearly saving shown by Moz |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | $20 a month | $199 a year (shown as $16 a month) | $41 a year |
| Preferred | $30 a month | $299 a year (shown as $24 a month) | $61 a year |
| Elite | $40 a month | $399 a year (shown as $33 a month) | $81 a year |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | For 50+ locations |
The pricing page labels yearly billing “Save 20%.” Moz also says plans and pricing are the same in every country it supports, though the directories available depend on where the business is located. It currently supports listings in the US, UK and Canada.
What each plan includes
- Lite: Local Grid, local map pack ranking, distribution to 90+ listing directories, review monitoring and data health analytics. Moz describes it as getting listed, monitoring review alerts and tracking your local presence, with 24-hour support.
- Preferred: everything in Lite, plus review responding (Google and Facebook), review generation, review sentiment analysis, social posting and analytics for Google and Facebook, content and post libraries, competitor analysis and agency permissions.
- Elite: everything in Preferred, plus the Listings AI add-on included, posting to Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok, ad boosting to Facebook, responding to linked social inboxes, and a reporting suite for leads, reviews, social and custom reports.
- Enterprise: Moz lists a dedicated account manager, product experts, an operations team, additional support, training resources, flexible billing and additional directories, and says it’s ideal for 50 or more locations.
The biggest practical line is between Lite and Preferred. On Lite you can see your reviews but not reply to them from Moz Local, so if replying from one dashboard is the reason you’re buying, budget for Preferred.
Moz Local add-ons and what they cost
Two add-ons sit on top of the plans. Moz says you can buy them at any time from the Account and Billing section of your account.
| Add-on | Monthly | Yearly | Available on |
|---|---|---|---|
| Listings AI | $14 a month | $119 a year | Lite and Preferred as an add-on; included in Elite |
| Reviews AI | $10 a month | $69 a year | Preferred and Elite |
One quirk worth knowing: Preferred plus Listings AI on yearly billing comes to $418 per location, while Elite, which includes Listings AI, is $399. Moz’s own page points out the $19 difference. If you were going to buy Listings AI on Preferred anyway, Elite costs less and adds the extra social and reporting features.
What drives your total Moz Local cost
Three things set the bill, and Moz states each of them:
- Number of locations. Moz’s FAQ says each physical location you manage needs its own subscription. There are no volume bands below Enterprise, so five locations on Lite cost five times one location: $100 a month, or $995 a year.
- Plan per location. The plan is bought per location, so you choose what each site needs.
- Add-ons and billing period. Add-ons are also priced per location, and yearly billing saves 20% on the plan.
This straight-line pricing is simple to budget, and it’s cheap for one location. It becomes less favorable as you grow. For comparison, BrightLocal prices in bands, so its cost per location falls as you add sites; our BrightLocal vs Moz Local comparison works through where the two cross over.
Renewal, cancellation and refund terms
These come from the Moz Local General Conditions, updated August 12, 2026 (effective that day for new subscribers and from September 11, 2026 for existing ones). They’re legal terms, so read the current version yourself before you buy.
| Item | What Moz’s conditions say | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Refunds | Subscription payment obligations are non-cancelable and fees paid are non-refundable, unless a services order says otherwise | Paying yearly is a commitment for the year |
| How to cancel | You cancel a managed business location only in the Moz Local dashboard. Cancellation is immediate and irreversible | There’s no undo, so be sure before you click |
| What canceling removes | The listing and its data are removed from your dashboard, with no full or partial refund | Export or record anything you need first |
| Timing | Cancel before the location’s term expires to avoid renewal fees | Put the renewal date in your calendar |
| Renewal | The conditions say each business location renews annually, within 30 days of the anniversary of the previous payment | If you pay monthly, ask Moz support how this applies to your account |
| Price changes | At least 30 days’ notice of new renewal pricing, by email or by posting a new fee schedule | Watch your email ahead of renewal |
| Late renewal | Missing a renewal can mean losing any special or custom pricing on that location | Discounted rates don’t carry over if a payment fails |
A worked example: pricing three locations
This is an illustrative scenario, not a real client.
A landscaping company has three yards in neighboring towns. The owner wants accurate listings everywhere and wants the office manager to reply to Google and Facebook reviews from one screen.
- Pick the plan. Replying needs Preferred, so Lite is out.
- Price it. Preferred on monthly billing is $30 × 3 = $90 a month. On yearly billing it’s $299 × 3 = $897 a year.
- Decide on add-ons. Reviews AI would add $69 a year per location, or $207 for all three. The office manager prefers to write replies herself, so they skip it.
- Check the terms. Because fees aren’t refunded and cancellation is immediate, they start monthly for two months, then switch to yearly if the team is using it.
- Compare once. BrightLocal’s Grow plan for the 2 to 5 location band costs $87 a month on monthly billing and adds review requests by email and SMS plus deeper rank tracking. The owner compares features, not just the headline.

At 50 or more locations, Moz asks you to contact its team. Have your exact location count, countries and growth plans ready, then ask for written answers to these:
- Is Enterprise billed monthly or yearly, and what’s the notice period to cancel?
- Do the standard refund and cancellation terms apply, or does the services order change them?
- Which directories are added beyond the self-serve plans?
- Can locations be added or removed mid-term, and how is that billed?
- Are Listings AI and Reviews AI included, discounted or separate?
- What does the dedicated account manager actually do each month?
Cheaper and free options
Here are the alternatives, with prices from each company’s own site as of September 2026. Our Moz Local alternatives page covers them in more depth.
| Option | Price as published | What it covers | What it doesn’t |
|---|---|---|---|
| 123 Reputation Management (our free platform) | Free | Tags every page-one result for your name as positive, neutral or negative; alerts you to new reviews and mentions that need a reply; tracks results as owned pages climb; plain-English monthly reports | No listings distribution, rank grids, review requests or social posting |
| Google Business Profile | Free | Your Google listing, reviews, replies and posts | Other directories |
| BrightLocal | 1 location: $41, $54 or $65 a month billed monthly; bands up to 100 locations | Rank tracking and audits; listings sync on Manage; reviews on Grow | Custom price above 100 locations |
| Whitespark Local Platform | $1 a month per location | Managing Google Business Profiles | Other directories; its other tools are priced separately |
| Synup | Solo $49 a month (1 location); Premium $299 (up to 10) | Listings, reviews and social; every feature on every plan | Tiers set capacity and credits |
To be plain about our own platform: it’s a reputation tool, not a listings tool. It won’t push your hours to 90 directories or reply to reviews for you. It tells you what people see when they search your business and when a new review or mention needs a reply. If your worry is a bad result rather than a wrong address, start with our free reputation audit. If you’d rather hand over your most important listing, our Google Business Profile management service covers it, and our guide to Bing Places for Business shows how to fix the next listing yourself.
Common mistakes when buying Moz Local
- Buying Lite to reply to reviews. Review responding starts on Preferred.
- Adding Listings AI to Preferred on yearly billing. Elite costs less and includes it.
- Expecting a Moz Local free trial. The pricing page doesn’t show one; the trial button is for Moz Pro.
- Canceling on impulse. Cancellation is immediate and removes the location’s data from your dashboard.
- Missing the renewal date. Cancel before the term ends to avoid renewal fees, and note that late renewal can cost you any special pricing.
