BrightLocal Pricing: Plans, Location Bands and Cheaper Options
BrightLocal pricing as of September 2026: what Track, Manage and Grow cost from one to 100 locations, what each plan adds, the cancellation terms, and cheaper or free options.
As of September 2026, BrightLocal’s pricing for a single location is $41 a month for Track, $54 for Manage and $65 for Grow, billed monthly. Billed annually, the same plans cost $369, $485 and $584 a year. Prices rise in bands as you add locations, up to 100; above that, BrightLocal quotes on request. There’s a 14-day free trial with no credit card, and monthly plans can be canceled at any time.
This guide sets out the full price table as BrightLocal publishes it, what each plan adds, the separate services that cost extra, the renewal and cancellation terms in BrightLocal’s own terms and conditions, and the cheaper or free routes. Every figure here comes from BrightLocal’s pricing page and terms, checked in September 2026. Pricing changes, so check BrightLocal’s site before you buy.
BrightLocal plans and prices (as of September 2026)
BrightLocal sells three platform plans. Each one includes everything in the plan before it.
| Plan | BrightLocal’s description | 1 location, billed monthly | 1 location, billed annually |
|---|---|---|---|
| Track | Understand your local search visibility | $41 a month | $369 a year (shown as about $31 a month) |
| Manage | Keep your business details accurate everywhere | $54 a month | $485 a year (about $40 a month) |
| Grow | Build trust and attract more customers | $65 a month | $584 a year (about $49 a month) |
The pricing page labels annual billing “Save 25%.” For one location, annual billing on Track saves $123 over twelve monthly payments.
What each plan includes
- Track: the Local AI Visibility Tracker (how your business appears across ChatGPT and Google’s AI), local SEO audits, rank tracking for up to 100 keywords and four competitors per location, a geo-grid rank map for up to five keywords, citation tracking, and a Google Business Profile audit that benchmarks you against competitors.
- Manage: everything in Track, plus AI Insights (prioritized local SEO actions), Active Sync to keep your business details “synced and protected across key sites,” and a scheduler for Google Business Profile posts.
- Grow: everything in Manage, plus review monitoring and replies across multiple sites, review requests by email, SMS and in-store campaigns, and a widget to publish reviews on your website.
The plan comparison table also lists white-label reports, an agency lead generation widget, location dashboards, 18 months of Google Business Profile history, a Google Analytics integration, APIs and an MCP server. The pricing page doesn’t make it easy to read which plan each of those sits on without the interactive table, so ask BrightLocal to confirm in writing if one of them matters to you.
Prices by number of locations
BrightLocal prices by band. You move a slider for “Locations managed,” and the page shows one price per plan for the whole band. These are the figures in the page’s own pricing data as of September 2026:
| Locations | Track (monthly / annual) | Manage (monthly / annual) | Grow (monthly / annual) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $41 / $369 | $54 / $485 | $65 / $584 |
| 2 to 5 | $62 / $558 | $76 / $683 | $87 / $782 |
| 6 to 10 | $83 / $747 | $109 / $980 | $131 / $1,178 |
| 11 to 20 | $104 / $936 | $153 / $1,376 | $197 / $1,772 |
| 21 to 30 | $156 / $1,408 | $230 / $2,069 | $296 / $2,663 |
| 41 to 50 | $261 / $2,353 | $384 / $3,455 | $494 / $4,445 |
| 91 to 100 | $524 / $4,716 | $769 / $6,920 | $989 / $8,900 |
| 100+ | Price on request | Price on request | Price on request |
Monthly figures are per month; annual figures are the yearly total. We’ve left out some middle bands to keep the table short. BrightLocal publishes a price for every band from 31 to 90 locations in steps of ten, so move the slider to your exact count. Moz Local, by contrast, charges per location (as of September 2026); our BrightLocal and Moz Local cost comparison shows where the two cross over.
Two things stand out. First, the per-location cost falls quickly: Grow for 91 to 100 locations works out at roughly $10 per location a month if you have 100. Second, the band is priced as a block, so a business with 11 locations pays the same as one with 20. If you’re near the top of a band, the next location costs nothing extra; if you’re just over the line, it costs the whole step.
What costs extra
Three BrightLocal services sit outside the plans:
| Service | Published price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Citation Builder | Starting at $2 per citation; the FAQ says $3.20 per site, or as low as $2 with bulk credits | Pay-as-you-go. You can use it with a free account and no subscription. BrightLocal says it submits to five data aggregator networks: Data Axle, Neustar Localeze, Foursquare, Yellow Pages Network and GPS Network |
| Managed SEO Service | $1,299 a month | BrightLocal’s team runs strategy, optimization and ongoing improvements for you |
| API Solutions | Custom price | For agencies, platforms and developers; you speak to the team |
You also can’t buy single features on the standard plans. BrightLocal’s FAQ says a custom plan is possible only if you have “a very high volume of locations” and need just one or two report types.
BrightLocal says its platform works in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia, with citation building available in some other countries. If you operate elsewhere, check coverage before you pay.
Free trial, renewal and cancellation terms
These come from BrightLocal’s pricing page FAQ and its terms and conditions, as of September 2026.
| Item | What BrightLocal says | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Free trial | 14 days of full access; no credit card required | You can test it without a card on file |
| After the trial | You can still log in and view existing data, but can’t run new reports or refresh data until you pick a plan. Old inactive accounts are occasionally deleted | Export anything you need if you don’t subscribe |
| Renewal | Subscriptions renew automatically, charged to the payment method you first used (terms, clause 3.6) | If your card changes, the subscription may be suspended |
| Cancellation | You can cancel at any time; it takes effect at the end of the current period, and fees already paid aren’t refunded (clause 6.5) | An annual plan is money spent for the year |
| PayPal | You must also stop the automated payment inside PayPal (clause 6.4) | Canceling in BrightLocal alone isn’t enough |
| Downgrades | Take effect immediately, with no refund for the rest of the period | BrightLocal itself suggests downgrading close to your renewal date |
| Price changes | 30 days’ notice; for annual subscribers, changes apply from the next renewal (clause 5.4) | Annual billing locks your price for the year |
| After canceling | Your account and reports aren’t deleted, but they stop updating and can’t be accessed until you reactivate | Download reports before you cancel |
Which plan do you actually need?
Match the plan to the job, not the other way round.
- You want to know where you rank locally: Track covers rank tracking, the geo-grid, audits and citation checks. Many single-location businesses stop here.
- Your name, address, phone or hours keep going wrong across directories: Manage adds Active Sync and Google post scheduling.
- You want to ask for reviews and reply from one place: Grow adds review requests, monitoring and replies, and a website review widget.
If you’re a single-location business thinking about Grow, weigh the extra $11 a month over Manage (on monthly billing) against doing reviews yourself. Asking for reviews with your free Google review link, a QR code at the counter and a line in your follow-up email covers much of what a review tool does. Our guide to getting more Google reviews walks through the free method.
A worked example: pricing a five-location business
This is an illustrative scenario, not a real client.
A home services company has five offices. Its owner wants rank tracking in each service area and correct listings everywhere, and is unsure about reviews.
- Find the band. Five locations falls in the 2 to 5 band, so a sixth office later would move the company into the 6 to 10 band.
- Compare plans. Manage costs $76 a month or $683 a year. Grow costs $87 a month or $782 a year. The difference is $11 a month, or $99 a year on annual billing.
- Add the extras. The company’s listings are messy, so it budgets for some Citation Builder credits on top, priced per citation.
- Check the terms. It starts on monthly billing, since fees aren’t refunded on cancellation, and plans to switch to annual after two months if the team is using it.
- Decide on reviews. The team already sends a review link after every job, so it chooses Manage and revisits Grow if replying to reviews across several sites becomes a burden.

At 100+ locations the pricing page switches to “Price on request” and a “Get a custom plan” button. Before you talk to BrightLocal, have these ready:
- Your exact location count and how fast it’s growing.
- Which features you need at every location, and which only at some.
- Whether you need white-label reports or API access.
Then ask, and get the answers in writing:
- Is the custom plan billed monthly or annually, and what’s the notice period to cancel?
- Do the standard terms (no refunds on cancellation, 30 days’ notice of price changes) apply, or does the custom agreement change them?
- Are Citation Builder credits discounted at volume?
- Can locations be added or removed mid-term, and how is that billed?
- Which features on the comparison table are included, and which are add-ons?
Cheaper and free options
BrightLocal is one of the more transparent local SEO tools on price, but it isn’t the only route. Here are the alternatives, with prices from each company’s own site as of September 2026.
| Option | Price as published | What it covers | What it doesn’t |
|---|---|---|---|
| 123 Reputation Management (our free platform) | Free | Tags every page-one result for your name as positive, neutral or negative; alerts you to new reviews and mentions that need a reply; tracks results as owned pages climb; plain-English monthly reports | No rank grids, listings sync, citation building, review requests or website widgets |
| Google Business Profile | Free | Your Google listing, reviews, replies and posts | Other directories, rank tracking |
| Moz Local | Lite from $20 a month, or $199 a year | 90+ listing directories, review monitoring, a local grid | Check Moz’s page for current tiers |
| Synup | Solo $49 a month (1 location); Premium $299 a month (10 locations) | Listings, reviews and social publishing; Synup says every plan includes every feature | Tiers set capacity and credits |
To be plain about our own platform: it’s a reputation tool, not a local SEO suite. It watches what people see when they search your name and tells you when something needs attention. It doesn’t send review requests, sync listings, or offer webchat, payments, integrations, AI replies, or broadcast monitoring and press databases. If you need rank tracking across a map grid or directory syncing, BrightLocal or a tool like it does things ours doesn’t. If your main worry is a bad result or an unanswered review, start with our free reputation audit.
For a wider comparison, see our round-up of online reputation management tools, and our Yext pricing guide if you’re comparing listings platforms. If you’d rather hand the work over, our Google Business Profile management service covers the listing that matters most for local search.
Each of the paid tools above has its own guide. Our roundup of BrightLocal alternatives compares them side by side, our Moz Local plan guide and research-based Synup review cover those two tools, and if neither fits, our list of tools that compete with Moz Local has more options. If your team already uses Semrush, see what Semrush Local costs per location.
Common mistakes when buying BrightLocal
- Paying annually before you’ve tested it. Fees aren’t refunded on cancellation, so a year you don’t use is a year lost.
- Forgetting PayPal. If you pay by PayPal, cancel the automatic payment there too.
- Buying Grow for review requests you’d send anyway. A review link costs nothing. Pay for the tool when replying across many sites takes real time.
- Ignoring band edges. Check whether your next location pushes you into a higher band.
- Losing reports on cancellation. Download what you need first, since reports can’t be accessed after you cancel.
Frequently asked questions
How much does BrightLocal cost per month?
As of September 2026, for one location BrightLocal costs $41 a month for Track, $54 for Manage and $65 for Grow on monthly billing. Annual billing costs $369, $485 or $584 a year. Prices rise in bands up to 100 locations, and above that BrightLocal quotes on request. Check BrightLocal’s pricing page for current figures.
Does BrightLocal have a free trial?
Yes. BrightLocal offers a 14-day free trial with full access and says no credit card is required. After the trial you can still view existing data but can’t run new reports until you choose a plan.
Can I cancel BrightLocal at any time?
Yes. BrightLocal’s terms say you can cancel at any time, with cancellation taking effect at the end of the current subscription period. Fees already paid aren’t refunded. If you pay through PayPal, you also need to stop the automated payment in PayPal.
Is BrightLocal cheaper than Yext?
BrightLocal publishes its prices; Yext doesn’t publish current pricing and works through sales quotes, so a direct comparison needs a Yext quote. The two also differ in focus: BrightLocal is built around local SEO tracking and audits, while Yext describes itself as an enterprise marketing platform with listings at its core.
Is there a free alternative to BrightLocal?
Partly. Google Business Profile is free and covers your most important listing and its reviews. Our free platform tracks your page-one results and alerts you to reviews and mentions, but it doesn’t do rank grids, citation building or listings sync.
